Join us for a special Christmas craft workshop and learn the art of Crankie making in an online course that is closely related to puppetry!

 

Crankies are a wonderful traditional craft, sometimes also known as a ‘moving panorama’ and they make a great Christmas gift, accompaniment to a puppet show or can tell a story by themselves. Imagine the delight of showing your Christmas Crankie over the festive season - a wonderful, traditional craft that is sure to inspire those who see it.

This course can also serve as a great Christmas gift to give to your loved ones and we can provide special e-vouchers should you wish to gift this course.

What you will learn and do in the Christmas Crankie short course

​

In this creative short course over two Friday evenings before Christmas, you will explore storyboarding, pictograph plot development, the craft and techniques of making a crankie and the history of these magical hand cranked machines. The course is taught live online in a small, friendly group with tuition and interaction at every step to ensure you end up with a lovely Crankie made to your own designs.

The course will be taken online, via Zoom, and is sure to provide a fun craft making activity ahead of Christmas.

This course is suitable for those in the USA, Canada, the UK, Europe, Africa and beyond as the time zone should suit many different areas. Join us for some Christmas Crankie fun in a friendly group!
