Glove Puppet Making Performance Course
Glove Puppet Making Performance Course
Glove puppetry is a world renowned, traditional form of portable puppet theatre.

Glove puppetry has many specific and complex techniques when practiced correctly and our teaching method blends traditions from the UK as well as the glove puppetry techniques of South America and Brazil such as ‘Mamulengo’.
On this course you will be taught by multi award winning international theatre professionals who have specifically trained and qualified in Puppetry, Performance and Design at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, and professionals who have had many years of performance and teaching experience.
Objective:

To learn how to build a glove puppet using your own design and to go on to construct this puppet within the workshop and learn the basics of how to manipulate it.

Depending on your course length you may wish to focus on performance techniques and show development after only a short or basic course in making - please discuss this when organising your course.
