We currently only offer work on a freelance self employed or occasionally voluntary basis, but we come together as freelancers under the umbrella of PuppetSoup to make work that is high quality and engaging. PuppetSoup is a fun place to work and you will need a good sense of humour to join the team. We take puppetry very seriously but have lots of fun whilst working.

We are straight talking, always put the audience first, do not like excessive focus on the artist's ego and we work extremely hard to benefit the community and the public. We make work truly collaboratively across specialisms and everyone, without exception, is expected to muck in, make the tea and carry the stage weights. You need to be talented, friendly, flexible, honest, self sufficient and a great team member to work with us. You should of course also love puppets as much as we all do!

You will be DBS checked in order to work with us at any time and you will need to be fully insured with your own provider in addition to being covered by PuppetSoup's insurance.

We are especially looking for tour bookers. producers and arts management specialists to work with us on fundraising and tour booking but we are always very happy to hear from performers who are interested in puppetry and the related arts.
